Fon Ngwefuon II, of Bafanji, in the Ngoketunjia Division, North West Region, has saluted the Fanji Women Cultural, Development Association, FAWODCA, development strides towards the community.
The traditional ruler made, the declaration on Saturday, December 6, 2025, in Bafoussam, during the official launching of the FAWODCA national women’s uniform. Speaking to the press, in Bafoussam Fon Ngwefuon II said; “We consider the women as a united force, that stands to promote, cultural values and forge development in our community.”
“The General Assembly, is an opportunity to empower the women, who play a major role in promoting peace, national integration and local development, “Fon Ngwefuon II added.

He further asserts that, the place of the woman in the Bafanji community speaks for itself. Everybody can see that, the Bafanji woman is venerated by the Bafanji community. Reason why they deemed it necessary to create the organisation (FAWODCA), to foster the community’s needs. The event that brought together over 5000 delegates from the ten Regions of Cameroon and the diaspora, featured traditional dances, presentations on the woman and future perspectives.
The high moment, of the event, was the raising of funds to carry out portable water projects back home. To spice the event, were expositions of the Fanji cuisine. For the National President of FAWODCA, Grace Ndoke, she called for unity among the women in the community, asserting that together they intend to carry out greater realisations.
